New guy from Canada

Postby patstrat » Tue Jul 18, 2017 11:17 pm

Hello Deadheads. :-) My name is Pat-(patstrat on here now I guess). I'm 62, been a Dead fan since first hearing "Casey Jones" come on WABX back about 1970, and I was hooked. I've been playing guitar since I was ten, was in a few bands in my younger days-bass, guitar, vocals, bit of kybds.
Been retired from my heavy construction career for ten years now- lots of time to play and listen to music. I also jam with friends occasionally. I live in London, about halfway between Toronto and Detroit.
Only ever saw the GD live one time... on Hallowe'en '77 (my 23rd birthday was midnight that night).

Welcome patstrat! I grew up in Buffalo- not too far from you. Here in Oswego "we can almost see Canada" across the lake.
